  • Mezir (6 - 8 hours)

The hike starts at the hotel, crosses the Dolra river, goes a bit southwards and then turns sharply westwards and upwards. The path climbs slowly, but surely up towards Mount Mezir at 2285 metres. From here there is a magnificient view towards Ushba and the Svaneti mountain wildes. The marked trail continues on a hillocky path slowly climbing on the eastern side of the 2577 meter high Mount Detsil towards the Bakhi-pass on 2 416 meter right south of Mount Bakhi (3 137 meter). Here there is time for a rest to enjoy the view if the weather is good before returning the same way down to Tvebishi and the hotel. The trail is marked in red and white, but the company of an experienced local mountain guide is highly recommended. A mountain guide can be ordered through the hotel – preferably at the latest 1 day in advance.
